Quintura announces Series ‘A’ funding
Quintura, ASE of the Month for June (tied with KartOO),
today announced that it has raised several million US dollars in Series A funding from Mangrove Capital Partners.
“Since our first meeting in spring 2006, we have really enjoyed working with the team of Mangrove Capital on our challenge to beat Google. We came to a mutual decision on raising new funding entirely from Mangrove.” said Yakov Sadchikov, co-founder and CEO of Quintura. “We plan using the capital to scale the Quintura affiliate model for site search and build a semantic web index using our neural networking techniques.”Quintura brings web users a new search experience. Quintura displays an interactive search cloud of related keywords and phrases to easily refine and narrow down searches. Quintura is the first company to embed graphical icons in the search cloud; next they plan to start selling graphical advertisements such as images, logos, and icons within the search cloud.
Quintura also has a version for kids that features a kids-specific search cloud for easy and safe navigation through kids-related web links.
