Right now we could really use someone who speaks Czech, because this week we’re going to the Czech Republic. My wife and I have been to the Czech Republic (the former Czechoslovakia), and the capital, Prague, is one of our favorite destinations. So as we tour around the world looking for alternative search engines, I naturally wanted to stop by the Czech Republic. This is what I found:

atlas.cz: Can’t make out a word of it! When I performed a search, all of the results were also in Czech with the .cz country code.




O2 Active? Not a chance.

Ah! A break! With CENT.CZ, at the bottom of the search results there is a link to Google.cz with the choice of searching the web or just the Czech Republic. When I search the web, I get English results. Thanks, Google!

jyxo has two separate home pages, one in Czech, and one in English. But they are quick to point out that both of them only search Czech pages.
