Is John Battelle really worth all this?
Search Engines are supposed to make life faster and easier, aren’t they? Well, I’ll let you be the judge of this alternative search engine, finervista, a search engine for seminars.
The first thing that I did was search for Webcasts about, well, Search, of course.
I got 281 matches, sorted them by date, and since the first result won’t be “live” for another two months, I scrolled down…
and I found this listing: A conversation with John Battelle. Didn’t he write a book about Search or something? (Only the best book ever, gosh!) So of course I clicked on this one.
And there it is! All I have to do is click the big blue button, and I’m in like Flint.
But no! First I have to fill out this beauty of a form (all *required):
Surely I have suffered enough! But no! Next I receive not 1, but 2 security warnings!
Having risked my PC for the Cause, I then had to download the WebEx Player…
and that’s when the pre-recorded seminar started.
So, I ask you, is John Battelle really worth all this?
