Alternative Search Engine Quintura sent us this ad for their search engine. They are wondering if any other Alt has an ad that they are particularly proud of. After all, if we want to drive more traffic to these alternative search engines, just having a slick logo on the homepage may not be enough. this company, while interesting, does not seem to have a basic customer focused approach figured out yet. About 3 months ago, I had some business for them and sent in an email request. Not even a (computer generated) response !
And this from a customer-focused search company? the horrors!
most companies these days are long engineering talent–and way short on basic CRM,sales and marketing…all the while, hoping to be the next deal for xxxx ..
because at this point,true scale could only be achieved via a fold-in, unless you serve the customer better than the incumbent (GOOG)….which doesn’t seem to be the case here.
