A big week for AltSearchEngines!

From Wednesday (yesterday) until Wednesday (next week), this is going to be quite a week on AltSearchEngines.  If you haven’t signed up for our RSS feed or email notifications, I encourage you to do that today so you don’t miss anything.  Otherwise, please keep checking in with us!

Yesterday:  We introduced a brand new search engine, NeXplore.  The post has a unique link for AltSearchEngines readers which guarantees you an invite to their private Beta.  Please sign up!

Mid-day:  We discussed the Big News: AltSearchEngines and I were widely quoted in Newsweek’s online edition.  Why?  It’s all explained in yesterday’s post.

Last night was another Great Debate.  Representing a new Vertical, Ticket Search engines, were TickEx and NinjaTickets.  I hope you have time to read it today (it’s really not that long).

Today: Halloween! Today we will feature the Top 10 Halloween search engines - of course.  We are also awaiting a special announcement from one of our sponsors, Hakia.

This afternoon we will hike on over to the headquarters of Searchles to visit their CEO Elias Shams.

Thursday:  Tomorrow is the 1st of November, and that means a new edition of the Top 100 Alternative Search Engines list.  Tomorrow’s exciting revelation will be the 10th and final Search Engine of the Month (SEM).  Who will it be?  Only the 10 SEM are eligible to compete for the title of Search Engine of the Year to be announced with the final list Monday, December 3rd.

Guest Author Kaila Colbin will balance out my Sunday confession on the life of (this) male blogger with a post about the perspective of being a female blogger (in a man’s world?).

Friday:  A very special report that you will not want to miss; The Mother of all Stealth search engines report!  Who’s in pre-launch mode?  Alpha or Beta release?  Who is offering limited invites?  Who are the new players that will come on the scene before New Year’s Eve?  Don’t worry, we’ll tell you.

Saturday:  Another jaunt to a “foreign” land in search of more international search engines.  Where will we go?  Stop by Saturday and see.  Want to promote your native land?  Just email me at: Charles@ReadWriteWeb.com.

Sunday:  While my wife and I fly out to Denver CO for the Defrag conference, there will be a post about Tuesday’s People Search engine panelists:  PeekYou, Wink, ZabaSearch and PeopleFinders.

Monday:  Live blog reports from the Defrag conference - Day 1.

Tuesday:  Live blog reports from the Defrag conference - Day 2.

Wednesday:  On the way back to Virginia, we will stop by the offices of alternative Ticket Search engine TickEx for our “View from the Corner Office” with their CEO Richard Robinson.
