Voting irregularities at AltSearchEngines!

With the Search Engine of the Year announcement scheduled for this Monday, almost 200 votes have been cast. But sadly, certain “irregularities” have come to my attention.
In addition to Nitin’s excellent post just prior to this one, my summary of the plight of the alternative search engines entitled, “Do the Math,” received, hang on, I just had it…here it is, 0 comments.
Now I’m not fishing for compliments here, but the Search Engine of the Year votes are laser-focused on individual search engines (which is sort of the point I realize), but we do not believe that any one search engine can break into the “Top 5″ club, although we are more than willing to be proved wrong.
“The next Google will come out of Eastern Europe,” says Yakov with our Sponsor Quintura, and we respect that. Exalead, another Sponsor, probably feels the same way about France! If any alternative search engine wants to go for the brass ring, we will be the first in line to congratulate them.
We believe that success will come as a result of a collaborative effort amongst the vertical search engines. So this is what I’m trying to say: When posts like Nitin’s get 200 comments and the Search Engine of the Year finalists get no votes, then watch out Ask.com, because we’re coming for you!
