Find the Nearest Clean Restroom

Available online and via web-enabled mobile devices, MizPee 2.0 delivers location-specific information, content and deals; introduces new widget
for social media participants

Yojo Mobile today announced MizPee 2.0, a multi-platform application that guides people on the go — travelers, parents with children, elders, and anyone who needs to find a restroom in a jiffy — to the nearest clean restroom based on peer reviews and ratings of restroom facilities in major North American cities.

With the Wireless Association estimating more than 250 million wireless subscribers in the United States, consumers are looking to mobile phones to provide more than games and ring tones. One of a new generation of mobile applications, MizPee puts - hyperlocal, time-sensitive information, content, and deals directly into the hands of mobile users.

Mobile MizPee users can access MizPee’s WAP interface to find the nearest restroom through their mobile Web browser to retrieve a list of the facilities, resources and details. MizPee tells users if the facilities are handicap accessible, whether or not there are diaper-changing stations, and if the restroom is open for public use or restricted to customers only. MizPee’s time-based search technology sends users restrooms that are open at the time of the query, saving both time and frustration. Entertaining content, including “Looisms” – or bathroom trivia – is also available on the MizPee website and via the mobile Web browser to help users pass the time.

Accessing MizPee 2.0 over the Web offers an expanded and personalized user experience. Beyond enabling people to locate bathrooms and find deals, the MizPee website lets users add bathroom data, reviews and ratings; enjoy local trivia; and learn which restrooms are the ‘best and worst’ in their city. Cities currently serviced by MizPee include: Atlanta, Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Manhattan, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Oakland, Portland, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, Toronto, Washington D.C.

MizPee 2.0 also offers a “widget” or badge for use on blogs and popular social networks, including Facebook and Myspace. The widget lets visitors to social media sites use MizPee from those sites, entering their street address to get lists of restrooms in the cities of their interest.

Since the introduction of the MizPee beta site in June 2007, the site has had more than 1.4 million hits and has served nearly 100,000 unique users. MizPee support for SMS text messaging is currently under development and is scheduled for availability early next year. The SMS capability will allow users to text message their location to MizPee and receive information on restrooms in the area directly on their mobile devices.
