First Snooth, then Vinquire, and now…Able Grape!

VinquireSnooth

After nearly three years of work, the beta release of Able Grape, a search engine for wine information, went live on February 1st, and AltSearchEngines stopped by to check it out.

Here’s your invitation from The Able Grape Team:

It’s still very much a work in progress, as we suppose every bit of software is, but we think it’s pretty useful, and both seeing the kinds of things people look for and hearing what people think will help (is already helping!) me make big improvements.”

“If you haven’t tried Able Grape yet, we recommend a quick look at the help section, especially the example queries. They give a flavor for some of the kinds of things we tried to make work well, and how the slightly wacky, but hopefully very useful, UI works (I know software lore says that no-one reads the help! But honestly, we think it’s worth it!).”

Being something of a wine connoisseur myself, I searched for my favorite varietal: Sangria!

Able Grape has several options to refine your search by category, geography, language, and so forth.

Try all three wine search engines and let the rest of us know which one you prefer - like a fine wine!
