Stumpedia, a global democratic search engine powered by the people, for the people has officially launched.
Stumpedia is a community built and driven social search engine that relies on human participation to index, organize, and review the world wide web. It will not depend on bots, or algorithms to make decisions on the relevance and ranking of search results. “Users will have complete control over all the data”, says Stumpedia CEO Luis Pereira. He added, “The black box mentality of industry leaders in the search space must be broken. We want to establish a truly democratic process where everyone has a say and their input on search results and features matter.”

Stumpedia will enable users around the world to share their knowledge and interests with one another and provide an alternative to traditional search.
