iMedix hires expert for its medical search engine

iMedix, a community-powered health search engine, announced today that Prof. Yuval Shahar will lead its medical search technology efforts.

Prof. Shahar is the head of the Medical Informatics Research Center at Ben Gurion University, and has more than 20 years of experience in advanced health- information retrieval and application of artificial intelligence technologies to the health-care domain.

I am confident in our ability to surpass other medical search engines on the web today,” said Prof. Shahar.  Prof. Shahar holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University in Medical information Sciences, an M.Sc. in computer science from Yale University and a M.D. degree from the Hebrew University.
