Blog Search Engine Twingly Launches Private Beta

Twingly recently launched their next-generation blog search engine at Twingly.com. Participate in the invite-only beta by getting invited or signing up at beta.twingly.com. So what’s cool with the new Twingly.com?
Twingly takes a zero-spam approach to blog search using an algorithmically expanding white list instead of the traditional blacklist. Powerful moderation tools allows us to win the fight against spam by one-click removal of clusters of tens of thousands of spam blogs. Fat tail manual moderation yields quality input to long tail algorithmic filtering.
Social search features allows users to share quality content with each other and the community as a whole. Twingly provides a powerful search language for blogs, where search filters can be combined in new ways.

Just got my invite last night, about 12 hours from when I signed up for it.
It has kind of a cool background. I signed up (activation link) and the first thing I did was “ping” my blog.
I don’t know how long it took for them to index my blog but this morning posts I’ve written are showing up in their search.
However none of my entries show up if I use the “Spam Free” search option.
Invite only search engine?

Yousef,
thank you for checking out Twingly and taking the time to give feedback. Our spam free index is constantly growing using an algorithm based on the link structure of the blogosphere. We started out with a list of about 6000 manually approved blogs in 30 languages.
The index is growing very fast but it seems your blog is not included yet. However, I made an entry to approve it manually just now. What is cool is that it means that your blog some time soon will become the seed for a whole new part of our spam free index.
I’m at martin@twingly.com, if you have any other feedback or questions I will be happy to help. Strike that, it is you helping us to improve. Once again, thanks!
Regards,
Martin Källström
