VeoSearch launches search engine for charities
VeoSearch, a multi-search engine which donates 50 % of its revenues to charities, is now coming to the UK. With a community connected to their search engine, charities will be able to promote themselves with viral tools and users will have a close contact with them.
On VeoSearch, the user can get the results from four different search engines (Google, Yahoo, Ask and Exalead). Every user’s searches generates revenue from advertisements, out of that, 50 % is distributed to the charities of the user’s own choice.
With the launch in the UK, VeoSearch has developed a community where charities have direct contact with the users. In this way, charities can reach out to the users easily and the users can get a better picture of where their money is going.
“It’s about time that charities get funded and receive visibility without having to put enormous amounts of money on marketing and fundraising. We make the user a donor without even reaching for the wallet!” says Guillaume H Heintz, co-founder of VeoSearch.com. “As globalization increases and the suffering of the third world comes closer to our westernized homes, it’s only right that the business sector takes its responsibility to contribute” says Arthur Saint-
Père, co-founder of VeoSearch.com.

Distributing 50% of the revenue from advertisements to the charities of the user’s own choice is a very good idea. I found out that user interface is in French and the engine searches only in French pages. It would be good to add other languages and make it more popular. Charity deserves it.

Answering Stan’s question.
We at VeoSearch have translated the entire site to English as well. If it for some reason opens up in French, it means that the IP address directory doesn’t work 100 % for us yet.
To change the language to English simply click on the arrow next to the flag and for searches in English, you have to choose English in the preferences.
I hope you’ll like it!

In response to Bjorn - my page loads in French and no flag appears for me to change it to English.

I truly wonder if there is a market for this searchengine. Why would people use this searchengine? To feel better about themselves?

In response to Dave and SEO
We had a bug last week with the IP addresses in some countries. Our developers have worked on it and now it should appear in English. Please notify me if this isn’t the case!
My personal believe is that people will use us because of the search results. Since we give the results from four different engines in one site, we give a better result than themselves one by one. If this can help charitable causes, then why not change search patterns?
I feel better using VeoSearch than any other engine…
