Healia Introduces “Healia Points” Program
At the Consumer Health World Conference in Las Vegas, Healia President Tom Eng announced the launch of “Healia Points,” a program that was created to reward Healia Communities members for their positive contributions and to promote high quality information exchange.
Healia Communities is a free online health community and support group that enables people to get personal support for their health-related issues and decisions from peers and experienced health professionals. Members who are active contributors and who are helpful to other Healia Communities members are awarded Healia Points. To earn Healia Points, members can post a journal entry, join a community, ask or answer a question, or save favorite resources. Additional points are awarded when members post highly rated content.
“The Healia Points program recognizes those members who participate actively and help others by generously sharing their experiences and knowledge. Our goal is to create a trusted place where people can go for quality health information and support when they are dealing with important health decisions”, said Eng. “The Healia Points program is a small token of our appreciation to Healia Communities members who are helping each other live longer and healthier lives.”
Beginning May 11, 2008 the week’s five “Top Contributors,” Healia Communities members who have earned the most points during the previous week, will receive a free subscription to either Ladies Home Journal, MORE, or Fitness magazines courtesy of Healia’s parent company Meredith Corporation. Healia Communities members will be alerted as additional awards are announced throughout the year.
Healia Communities allows people to share their health knowledge, experiences and favorite resources; provide personal support and connect with people sharing the same health concerns; and get answers to their questions from health experts. To create a profile and begin earning points on Healia Communities, visit www.healia.com and follow the link to Healia Communities.
