This one is the search engine for those just settling in their home and figuring out the most efficient way to hook it up to the world. WhiteFence is a one-stop comparison shopping marketplace for consumers looking to compare and order essential home services. They connect consumers with the services that power their lives — from phones to high-speed Internet to electricity and beyond.
Founded in 2000, the company has grown to offer service to customers throughout the US. Their proprietary transaction engine makes it easy for all of the U.S. households that move annually, as well as consumers just looking to switch services, to find the deals and set up their home services.
Phone, Internet, TV, electricity, furniture, home improvement, and pest control are just some of the things they offer searches for. To use the sight, just put your address and zip code in the search box. After entering your address, you will be presented with all of the providers in a service category (such as Television or Phone).
If the category is not the service that you are looking for, you can navigate to other categories by using the tabs on the top navigation. Once you have selected a service category, you can click click “Details and Pricing” next to the provider (such as AT&T or Comcast) you want to learn more about or compare providers by checking the box next to each of the packages or offers you want to consider (up to three at a time).
Once you’ve decided on a provider, you can purchase from them through the site itself. Once you complete the order form with all the required information that the service provider needs to give you service, Click “submit” and your order will then be sent directly to the service provider.
And of course, using the search engine is free of charge.
