Start your day with a juicy WikiSlice
What are WikiSlices?
WikiSlice as the name suggests is a slice of Wikipedia based on a particular topic. WikiSlices make Wikipedia easy to explore. Wikipedia allows you to only search for information. WikiSlices help you browse through this information.
While using Wikipedia, you may have felt the need to view related topics or sub-topics. When you create a WikiSlice, the topics and sub topics are displayed prominently, so that you can quickly view them. You also see popular pages related to what you are searching or browsing.
The most important feature of WikiSlices is that you can download it on your desktop or laptop and access the information even when you are offline or on the go. WikiSlices can be used offline with the help of the Webaroo software. If you don’t have the software, the software will be downloaded automatically when you download your first WikiSlice.

Uh, they could use a little more finesse with female users. Look at the list of notable men and women:
* Britney Spears
* Adolf Hitler
* Harry Potter
* Elvis Presley
* William Shakespeare
* Bill Gates
* Albert Einstein
surely they could list a woman other than a troubled, brainless rock star? How about Marie Curie or Margaret Sanger? Come on, guys!! And what’s with the fictional? If Harry, why not Anna Karenina?

This seems like a superficial application of the Webaroo download “web packs” in 2004-2005 they launched their service claiming they would download your most frequently visited sites or something so you could have offline browsing.
Especially now where most pages are interactive ( like this site ) — I can’t really imagine the usefulness of browsing offline — I mean sure — it would be ok for 15min on a train or something. Also, why would I want to browse their “walled garden” of what they think is good content.
