iMedix Joins the Parade - Literally

As this is the limit of my willingness to venture into high-level writing in a second language, I will now go back to English. Before you are two pictures. It’s up to you to guess what they have in common.

Give up? I do, too. Both of the couples look completely different from the other—and by the way, I have no Idea how Oprah sill looks exactly like a women in her early thirties even though she’s already 54. A bit frightening at this point. Age already! I’m aging and I’m only 24. Grey hairs in the beard and such.

Since we both give up, I’ll just come out and say it. The two guys on the bottom, Amir Leitersdorf and Iri Amirav, are the founders of iMedix, a community-powered health search engine that has now been selected to power the search capabilities of PARADE.com’s health section. Thankfully, this has little to do with Oprah herself. She just happens to be on the cover

This is real good news for the iMedix team, as it’s the first major media partnership for them and the first search engine technology to be embedded at PARADE.com. Not only that, but PARADE Magazine has the largest circulation of any magazine in the United States. A copy came every week in my Sunday Herald when I lived in Miami, and I didn’t even tell the Herald to do that for me, so I know this is not an exaggeration.

In simple language, this means that iMedix is now part of the biggest Magazine in the US, and if you want to do a health search with Parade, you get to use iMedix. Here’s the proof:

“We are thrilled to be the exclusive search partner for the health section at PARADE.com. Millions of visitors will now have access to the most relevant, reliable health information on the Web and have the opportunity to discuss health concerns with like-minded individuals,” said Leitersdorf. And here’s a new feature iMedix put up on its site just a bit over 2 weeks ago—a health question/answer widget. Since iMedix is a community-based health site, you can contact any member of the community for advice on any health problem. Their new feature now lets you post questions directly to the community and get answers. You become a member, post a question, and then log in and click on the “my questions and answers” link to see what you’ve got. You can also answer questions relating to your own expertise and add to community knowledge.

Sound good?
